Role & Experience
Brian “BG” Grubb serves as Nugen Law’s Elder Care Coordinator, connecting day‑to‑day care realities with the firm’s elder law, estate planning, asset protection, and Medicaid planning services. A Licensed Social Worker (Indiana) with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Purdue University, BG brings more than forty‑five years of experience supporting older adults and their families across multiple care settings. He also holds an Elder Care Coordinator certificate from Stockton University, equipping him to guide clients through transitions with clarity and compassion.
How He Helps Clients
Families work with BG when they need a steady, knowledgeable partner to navigate long‑term care and benefits eligibility. He listens first, helps clarify goals, and lays out practical next steps—what to gather, who to call, and when decisions need to be made. BG coordinates records and information for Medicaid applications, explains spend‑down considerations in plain English under attorney supervision, and aligns care recommendations with asset‑protection strategies designed by the firm’s lawyers. His focus is to reduce stress, create a clear roadmap, and keep momentum through every stage of planning or administration.
Care Coordination & Collaboration
BG’s role is highly collaborative. He works closely with Nugen Law attorneys, paralegals, and the client‑service team, and he liaises with senior‑living communities, hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, home‑health agencies, and VA offices. He builds checklists and care timelines, coordinates communication among providers, and tracks deadlines so legal documents, care plans, and benefit filings move together. The result is a coordinated, implementable plan that supports quality of life while protecting resources.
Background & Community
Over more than four decades in social work, BG has served in a wide variety of roles, always with a servant’s heart. He values the trust families place in him and strives to build long‑term relationships that honor their values, resources, and timelines. Clients often remark on his calm presence, practical guidance, and commitment to doing what is best for the person in front of him.
Outside the Office
BG has two adult children and two grandboys he enjoys daily. He spends his downtime gardening, traveling, appreciating art and live music, and admiring classic muscle cars.
What This Means for Clients
Working with BG means you have a dedicated guide who connects the dots between care and legal planning. He will help you understand your options, coordinate with the right providers, and align steps for estate planning, asset protection, and Medicaid planning—so your family can move forward with clarity and confidence.
